This is a special tool that is bonded to the base material surface with carbide without any gaps. If there are gaps between the carbide plates on the tool surface, degradation of the tool can begin from those gaps, and in some cases, there is a possibility of breakage. The key to the processing is to ensure that there are no gaps between the carbide plates by aligning the right angles at the chip corners during bonding.
